Project Reflection

The things i enjoyed about this project was the amount of choice we had before we chose the poster set we wanted to develop, as we had a choice of what we wanted to design for and also we were able to use any design we wanted too and the choice of any image we decided to use. The thing i didn't enjoy about this project was my development work which wasn't as good as i hoped it would of been so the outcome of my final design was reflected in this. The only problems i encountered in this project was during the second week on the project i fell ill but i still met the hand in deadline which i was happy about, so i overcome the problem which occured.

Sam Wright Photography

Sam Wright Photography.

These photographs below are taking by a current Newcastle College Student, Sam Wright who is currently finishing his degree in photography and also working as a freelance photographer/ assistant in photography studios in the Newcastle and Leeds area. He is currently building his photography portfolio and he is making a name for himself already and he is still currently in his studies. Sam's work has its own unique style which i prefer and you can see this in the photography examples below which Sam has shot on his own photo shoots at the Newcastle College photography studios and on locations around the UK.
I plan to do some project work with Sam in the near future as i really like his style of photography.

Eccentric Design Book

Eccentric Design Book by NewWebPick

Eccentric Design by NewWebPick Team

This design book is something i recently purchased and it is one of the best book's i have seen so far. This book is a compilation of 23 designers from all around the world who each have there very own style of illustration and design. The book itself is enjoyed by over 4 million designers across the world who use this book as a source of design inspiration. This book is very inspiring to myself from the work produced because there is a wide range of illustration, colour and the media used, throughout the book which is very helpful when producing my own illustrations because it gives my knowledge of what illustration types there are what style of illustration i can produce and what types of mixed media i can use to produce my own illustrations.
Hopefully through a lot more time, effort and experience i will be able to produce my own style of illustration just like the artists and designers featured in this inspiring design book.

This book is well worth the £17.96 i paid for it at http://www.waterstones.com and i would recommend this book to anybody interested in Graphic or Illustrative design.

This is just a couple of the great examples of illustration to be found in this book;

Typography Design and Inspiration

TypeInspire is a showcase of typography, most of the items that are featured on this website are the work of graphic designers and web designers. This is one of the most inspirational typographic based design websites i have found on the Internet and i believe it has helped greatly during past projects and i will continue to use this website in the future as it is updated each day with band new typographically based ideas that are fresh and modern and these can help inspire me during up and coming projects and briefs, also in the future as a up and coming designer.
I would recommend anybody to check out this website and become inspired just like i have been.
